Overview

I provide therapy for children who are eight years of age and older, adolescents, and adults. For children less than eight years of age, I normally work with parents to address the child’s emotional distress. Likewise, I work with parents to develop strategies for managing children’s behavioural issues.

I provide psychotherapy to address emotional difficulties such as anxiety, panic disorder, social anxiety, obsessive compulsive disorder, post traumatic stress disorder, phobias, trauma, relationship issues, depression, sleep issues and health psychology issues such as chronic pain, chronic obstructive pulmonary disease and cardiac rehabilitation. The therapy I most often use is Cognitive Behavioural Therapy. I am also trained in Emotion Focused Therapy. A Description of these therapies is found below.

I provide psychological assessments of children and adults for Learning Disabilities and Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder. I can provide ADHD coaching for adolescents and adults (parents and teachers can often provide this coaching for younger children). I do not generally provide diagnosis of Autism Spectrum Disorder, but I can screen for this and offer a clinical opinion on whether parents should proceed to have a formal assessment of this.
